Explodear!

Explodear is what my students say when ever they start talking about my baby tummy. As all of you know I teach Spanish at a school that has a full immersion Spanish program. So many times as students try to speak they sometimes make up words to get their point across. And this word is what they use to tell me that I am going explode soon. The actual Spanish word is explotar...but I guess it is close enough. So the question is do I feel like I am about to explodear. I am getting close...closer to the end...today I am 37 weeks and I can sort of see the end of the tunnel so as the next 3 weeks unfold I will try my hardest to get sleep and enjoy the quiet but sometimes I do feel like explodeando right now! I think that my feet wish I would too, since they are pretty chubby right now. Especially after I have been on my feet all day.
Tonight is our last class with Hypnobabies. We have been taking these classes for the last 6 weeks. And things have been going really well. So hopefully I will remember everything and put it into action during our birthing time! I can't wait to meet our little baby.
Above is a picture of a baby at 37 weeks. It kind of gives you all an idea of what she looks like in my tummy.
Also, on presidents day my work threw me a very sweet baby shower. They had a lot of yummy food. Before the baby shower my friend/coworker Erin asked me what types of things I would like to eat at the baby shower and she had all my favorite finger foods to munch on. I loved it all. Also once again as I opened up gifts I felt so blessed. Jeff and I have really felt humbled by all the things that people have bought us. It is amazing and we are truely thankful. I will attach pictures of the shower as well soon..

Its still a girl!

Today I went and had an ultrasound done. They wanted me to have another one done to make sure that baby Mabry was growing okay. Sometimes with High Blood Pressure issues your baby can be small. ButBaby Mabry is pretty on track. The ultrasound tech said that she is still a girl. Of course I couldn't tell what anything was because baby Mabry had grown so much, everything pretty much looked squished in there. Last minute Jeff was not able to go so I called my mom and she had to work, so I asked my dad if he wanted to come and he did. I think he was really happy that I asked him and I think he had a good experience and enjoyed watching his grand daughter move around. So, the ultrasound went well. She has all her parts and it looks like she is growing fine. Her diaphram is even working, which means she has mature lungs and her heart has all the chambers and is looking good. So things are going well in the developement of Baby Girl Mabry. She is measureing at about 5 lb and 8 ozs. But who really knows. The Ultrasound tech said that everything is a go, so any day really... So we will see. I have prepared myself mentally to keep trucking away until the end of March. But who knows. I am sure she will be born at the perfect time for her. I have also attached a pic of her profile again. ENJOY!!

It feels like awhile

Well, it feels like it has been awhile since I have posted anything on our blog. Hopefully these next several weeks I will be posting more and more on our blog as baby Mabry comes to life (outside my womb). Jeff and I are so excited to see what she looks like and meet the little girl that keeps on kicking us. It is always crazy for me to think that there is a little person inside of me. And it is also such a miracle. I don't know how people can believe in Abortion. It blows my mind that someone would think that what is in me right now is not real a person.

On the right is a picture of me 35 weeks and counting that my mom took. I thought I would share. (I will be 36 weeks on Friday) There might be more to come. I am not a really big fan of these lovely pictures but I thought it might be nice to have at least one with each child Jeff and I decide to have. So here is number #1 baby in my tummy.

Yesterday I went to my weekly appointment. Yep that is right, I am now going weekly to see my lovely midwife. I have to be put on a monitor and have a stress test done while I am there because of the "high blood pressure" I have. Although it is under control with a little medication. So not really a big problem. (Plus I no longer live with my mother, BAHAHAHA) Yesterday I was put on the monitor for 20 min. and her heart sounded good. It was kind of cool to hear her heart beat for that long. Also, Sharon (midwife) said that she is not having any problems growing since I consistently measure two weeks ahead. Jeff and I have another ultrasound tomorrow to make sure all her body parts are growing okay. So maybe I will even have pictures to add from that. I am sure she is smashed in there right now. So she probably looks like a squished frog.

On last Saturday my mom and cousin Natalie threw me a family/friend shower, it was really nice. My mom and Natalie did a whole bird theme and had the most amazing food! : ) I thought they also played the right amount of games and did a great job with organizing it all. I enjoyed seeing everyone and hearing their words of encouragement. So thank you all for coming and being part of it. Jeff and I also got a lot of things that baby Mabry will need! So that is also a huge blessing. So Gracias!!! I will have to post some pics from the shower too once my mom emails them to me or gives me them. Any whooo!!! I will try and post after tomorrows ultra sound. I hope all is well with everyone. And remember it could be any day. AHAHAHAH!!!
