Jeff and I took some pictures of our precious sweet pea on Sunday at the Hospital before we left and we thought we would share them with you!
Hey Everyone! Well here it goes. I am going to start trying to blog about the Mabry Family. We will see how it goes. I know that as my pregnancy progresses and when baby Mabry shows up that everyone will want to know more and more. So I am starting this blog so that you can see her and know a little bit more about what is going on in our family. I will try my best to keep this up. But have patience.

Adelyn Grace Mabry
Adelyn Grace Mabry was born on the 13th of March at 11:51 p.m.
She was 20 inches long and 7lbs4oz.
It is an amazing thing. You go to the hospital to be induced because you are "ready", and you have a baby 28 hours later. Stephanie went through one of the most incredible endeavors I have ever seen. If I could explain everything that went wrong, I would, but I will just say that Adelyn is beautiful, healthy, and safe. Stephanie was able to have a natural birth, even after being induced, which I found out is difficult for women to do. The coolest part about the whole birth was the instant she was born, she was placed on Stephanie's chest, skin to skin, and her eyes were open and alert; not a cry at all. Adelyn is fully worth the wait and turmoils pregnancy (of course I can say that; I wasn't the one who was pregnant). I honestly don't know what I am going to do now that Steph is not pregnant anymore; I can't talk to the baby in the belly anymore!

Not in My Vocabulary
On Monday I went to my weekly appointment. The first thing that the nurse usually does is checks my blood pressure. Well, on Monday it was 156/100, so they were a little bit concerned and decided to send me to triage at Methodist Hospital. I was a little bit worried about the situation since Sharon (my midwife) threw out the word induce if for some reason my blood pressure didn't go down once I got up there. I have prepared myself and educated myself on the different vocabulary that I thought I would need to know for the upcoming birth of our baby girl the last few months and I know that I don't like that word - Induce!! As you all know I am trying to do this natural (that means NO drugs), so an induction possibility is not in my vocabulary. : ) Once I got to triage though, my blood pressure went down. So that was good. They ran some other tests on my blood and urine. And ended up finding out that the protein level in my urine was borderline, so that means I have borderline pre-eclampsia. So when I finally got to leave triage they handed me a huge jug and said, "you get to do a 24 hour urine" Which means any time I pee during the next 24 hours it goes into the jug. Sounds like fun right... : ) And then I get to turn it in and they check it to see what my protein level is. If it is too high than that is a problem. I have another appointment on Thursday so we will see what happens. Hopefully nothing comes back negative and I can just keep on progressing naturally. Hey, I guess I am this far and not had anything else major happen. We will see... Just be praying for me as the time gets closer, that no matter what I will be able to deal with what ever I have to deal with and that I can let the situation control itself. Because there is not much I can do to change the situation. What happens, happens. And in the end there is a healthy me and a healthy baby girl! I know once she is in my arms it won't matter. : ) Well, that is what at least my other "mom" friends tell me. Oh and by the way I am 3 cm dialated and 80% effaced. So maybe she will just get here on her own. Lets pray for that!

Estamos Esperando..Solamente..Estamos Esperando
Estamos Esperando...or in English we are just waiting... I am officially 39 weeks on Friday... I didn't realize how hard it was going to be to wait. I am just anxious to meet our little one and see her for the first time. It probably doesn't help that everyone at work continually asks why I haven't had her yet and my mother calls everyday to see how things are going...BAHAHAHAHA...It is just hard. But I know that there is a perfect time for her to come, so I wait in anticipation.
On Monday I went in for my weekly appointment and everything is going well. Nothing to really write about just that things are still looking good. Which is a good thing. Better to have nothing to write about than to have a lot of bad things to write or say. I am officially due on the 13th of March so I will continue trucking through this experience.
